A Crash Course In The Entrepreneurial Operating System For Early-Stage Founders with Andrea Jones, Founder of Great Pursuits MN

Dear Bunker,

On this week’s episode of the Transition, I sat down with Andrea Jones, Founder of Great Pursuits Minnesota, a professional coaching company which helps entrepreneurs, business owners and their leadership teams to master EOS®- the Entrepreneurial Operating System®.

EOS was first coined by Gino Wickman and detailed in his book Traction: Get A Grip on Your Business. For those of you who are unfamiliar with EOS, it's essentially a method of managing the ins and outs of a venture, everything from how to organize a meeting, set annual and quarterly priorities, and aligning your company around a shared vision and mission. On a personal level, managing a venture day to day is one of the more challenging parts of the entrepreneurial journey for me. I’m a visionary whose great a launching ideas, but not necessarily at managing other people. That’s why I’m a fan of frameworks like EOS.

Just to give you a heads up, EOS has it's own language, and during the course of this episode you'll hear us refer to terms such as Level 10 Meeting and Rocks, that you may be unfamiliar with.

If there are any terms we don't explain in detail during the episode, have no fear, I'll do my best to recap key terms in an upcoming newsletter, dedicated specifically to EOS. In the meantime, I want to encourage everyone listening to read the book Traction.

What kind of operating system are you currently utilizing in your business? Feel free to comment below.
