What Failing Teaches You About Being an Entrepreneur with Nate Carden, Founder of Jesus Academy and The Former Director of Programs and Partnership At Bunker Labs
The risk of failure comes with the cost of doing business!
Welcome to the official newsletter of “The Transition,” brought to you by me, "IRON" Mike Steadman, A Marine Corps Veteran, Social Entrepreneur, and Member of The Bunker Labs Branding Team.
Dear Bunker,
I hope everyone is a having an amazing week. On the Transition, I had a great conversation with Nate Carden, Founder of Jesus Academy, an e-commerce brand that sales faith based daily planners. He’s also the Former Director of Programs and Partnerships at Bunker Labs.
Nate and I go back to 2018, in my early days of the Bunker, when I was running the NYC Chapter of the Veterans in Residence. Every time we saw each other, we’d discuss books and best practices for entrepreneurs. During this time, Nate developed a lot of the early curriculum for the Bunker Labs programming.
In January of 2020, just before the pandemic, he stepped away from the Bunker to pursue his own entrepreneurial ambitions, first with a faith-based Startup and eventually his own, Jesus Academy, which makes products to help others live a more happy and fulfilling spiritual life.
Regardless of your religious affiliation, there’s tons of value in our conversation. During our sit down, Nate takes of his armor and talks about his struggles and failures as an entrepreneur, as well as what he’s learned along the way. This episode couldn’t have come at a better time for me personally, as I began to reset my own north star, focusing on health, family, and being more intentional about how I spend my days.
