I want to know what challenge you’re facing in your venture, so the marketing team can create content to help you solve it.
As you know, we’re not afraid to “take off our armor” on the Transition, so I’ll go first.
My biggest challenge currently is managing growth, by bringing on the right team members and capturing the core processes to make IRONBOUND Boxing & IRONBOUND Media run efficiently.
I still find myself up late night naming podcast episodes, writing copy, and uploading them on our podcast hosting platform.I’m spending way too much time in client delivery, instead of more time reading, writing, and producing educational content to drive sales & marketing.
Below is a video of me thinking out loud, where I discuss our growth challenges and how I plan on overcoming them.
What challenge are you facing? Leave a comment below. Lets get the discussion started!
My venture is a franchised coffee shop. My audience will be healthcare workers in a nearby hospital / medical campus, students of a nearby university, and local commuters. This challenge of a delay on the lease holds up any marketing work we have in mind. I have initial agreement with the business department at the university to assist in a survey and marketing analytics effort. But, I want to know I’m going to be in the area prior to kicking off the survey efforts. And, I obviously cannot begin renovations without an agreement.
Can you start selling coffee products now? The best survey is paying customers. Anything you can do to drive revenue with paying clients will pay huge dividends for when you do launch. I'd start marketing now, even if it's just a website and landing page, to get emails and build an audience. Maybe even do your social media posts. What's the name of the venture, I'd like to look you up.
Hi Mike, I am looking for a mentor to work with me. I don't have a lot of funds to pay one. How do you find mentor volunteers that have done a similar project as we are doing (tiny homes)?
Thanks for the question Sheila. I'd start by tapping into your personal network, including Bunker Labs. I'd look for a business executive who has a passion for helping homeless veterans, and has experience in building homes. You'd be suprised who'd be willing to help. Focus on crafting a compelling narrative of who you are, why you're doing what you're doing, and start reaching out to your network. Look for powerful organizations in your area where the problem you're addressing hits closer to home. Hope that helps, I'll bring it up on an episode of The Transition.
My current challenge is getting a response from landlord on lease proposal. That delays all subsequent work to get the space operational.
What are you doing to build your audience and ensure you're driving revenue? Also, whats your venture?

Awesome! Thanks Mike.
