On the latest episode of the Transition, I sat down with Rob Walling, from the podcast “Startups For The Rest of Us,” and one of the many in the indie entrepreneur movement, a community of non-venture backed tech startups.
I came across the indie movement a few months ago and have immersed myself in it ever since. After listening to Rob’s book, Start Small, Stay Small: A Developers Guide To Launching A Startup, on Audible, I reached out to him on twitter to be a guest on the show. His book is so good, I actually ordered a hardcopy as well!
Rob’s been bootstrapping startups for the last two decades and launched his podcasts to show others founders how to successfully build non-venture backed startups.
In 2010, he wrote Start Small, Stay Small, the definitive playbook for those forgoing the VC route. Rob is an evangelist for permissionless entrepreneurship, which is why creates content and launches platforms to give everyone a chance at the entrepreneurial dream. On this episode of the Transition, he shares some insights into his philosophy, and the lessons he’s learned from his vast experience, launching and working with bootstrapped startups.
